La reflexión que Partiquino propone en esta crónica, es sobre la jubilación y sus constantes dificultades. Cuenta al inicio una situación que presenció, donde un joven recién entrando a un trabajo, pregunta la edad de jubilación en esa institución. A partir de aquí, da cuenta de las falencias del sistema de pensiones, el cual hace perdurar una vejez con bajos recursos para el ocio y la producción personal. Con crítica, Partiquino aborda este tema que no queda ajeno a nadie.
