A partir del proverbio chino que indica que cada ser humano antes de morir debe plantar un árbol, escribir un libro y tener un hijo, Partiquino reflexiona sobre cómo algunos de estos objetivos han fallado. En particular, el caso del libro ha sido conflictivo, donde muchas historias han ido a parar a las librerías de viejo, donde va a parar gran parte de la vida de las personas que, expresadas en lo material, son abandonadas en estos espacios. Los intentos por trascender del ser humano han sido variados, sin embargo, para el autor, el fracaso de escribir un libro es el más gráfico.
