En el entrecruce de Historia e historieta, Partiquino reflexiona sobre la manera en que ambas se articulan de diferente modo. Sin embargo, introduce el nombre del escritor venezolano Francisco Herrera Luque para ejemplificar cómo este logra una intersección entre ambas maneras de contar historias, donde uno de los rasgos esenciales en ella será la de evitar crear bandos, sino solo reflejar a los personajes como son. La diferencia que el autor establecerá entre Historia e historieta, se complejiza durante la crónica, donde el lector entenderá la manera en que Partiquino comprende esta dualidad.
