Partiquino establece una comparación entre el alcance y subjetividad de la palabra versus la pintura. Entiende que si bien, la palabra tiene una profundidad y un fondo mucho mayor y más definido de la pintura, el mensaje de esta permite una cómoda interpretación de su significado. Para ejemplificar su reflexión, acude al recuerdo del dramaturgo Ben Jonson y el despido que obtuvo de parte del rey Carlos I al traducir su pintura en un escrito. Deja entonces la inquietud del valor en cuanto a mensaje y significado de cada arte.
